Why not read through, pray over,
meditate deeply and fall in love with the most Holy Eucharist. These seven
effects will motivate you to become a Eucharistic soul and motivate you to
frequent the Mass and receive the Eucharist often and with great love and
devotion. From this you will set the world
on fire and bring others to this FIRE which is Jesus truly present in the
Eucharist. Jesus said: “I have come to cast fire on the earth and I am not at
peace until that fire be enkindled.” That fire is love for the Eucharist! Behold the 7 effects of the Eucharist in a
worthy soul!
1.
NOURISHES OUR SOUL. There exists physical anorexia, but also
spiritual anorexia—that is to say Catholics that do not nourish themselves on
the Holy Eucharist, at least every Sunday. All too many are pursuing spiritual
delights that are truly lies, that actually poison the soul!
2.
CONSOLES AND COMFORTS US. In the heat of day, when we are tired,
possibly frustrated and even in desolation, the most Holy Eucharist comforts
and consoles us. Read Mt. 11:28-30… “Come to me and I will give you rest…”

STRENGTHENS VIRTUES AND WEAKENS SINS AND
VICES. Every time we receive Holy
Communion we receive the “Total Christ”: the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of
Jesus. Safe to say we can receive both a mind transplant and a
Heart-Transplant. Saint Paul says: “Put on the mind of Christ.” The he says:
“You have the mind of Christ.” After receiving Holy Communion you indeed
do have the mind of Christ.

PREPARES FOR MARTYRDOM. A study was done on the martyrs of Mexico and there was a common
note in almost all of the martyrs—their great love for Holy Mass and the
reception of the Holy Eucharist. Blessed Jose Luis Sanchez Rios, while held as
a hostage, was smuggled a basket of food. In the food-basket was hidden a
consecrated Host that he received. That gave him strength to die the martyr’s
death.
5.
ENERGY. The Holy Eucharist supplies the soul and
even the body with energy to carry out at times super-human tasks. What gas is to the tank of a car, Eucharist
is to the soul---power and energy!

HEALING. A secondary effect of the reception of the
most Holy Eucharist is healing of our daily infirmities. The Council of Trent
expresses at such: Holy Communion is the antidote to our daily infirmities.
Saint Faustina suffering dreadful pulmonary problems, received Holy Communion
and she felt like a spiritual electric current surge through her body and
experienced true healing!
7.
SALVATION! Jesus promises: “ I am the Bread of Life,
whoever eats my Body and drinks by Blood will have everlasting life and I will
raise Him up on the last day.” (Jn. 6—“Bread of life” discourse) That means, those who receive the Holy
Eucharist with lively faith, frequently (hopefully every day if possible) and
with fiery fervor and love will be saved!
May Our Lady, who formed the most
Sacred Heart of Jesus in her womb intercede for you and attain for you the
grace to fall in love with Mass, Holy Communion as well as daily Holy
Communion. Then may you become an apostle of the Eucharist!
